The Program is co-organized by the following UNM faculty members: Profs. Steve Cabaniss, Jeff Rack, Susan Atlas, Sherman Garver, and Cari Hushman; with financial and administrative support from the NM Public Education Department; State of New Mexico Higher Education Department Research and Public Service Projects (RPSP);  Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (Prof. Jeremy Edwards, Chair); UNM Interdisciplinary Science Cooperative; UNM Office of the Provost and EVP for Academic Affairs; UNM Office of the Vice President for Research; UNM College of Arts and Sciences; and NM Science Teachers Association.

As with last year's program, the Summer 2023 ROSE Program enabled teachers to refresh their knowledge and develop new skills, while gaining a better understanding of, appreciation for, and inspiration from current scientific research, and establish authentic relationships between UNM faculty and science educators in local and regional communities, including inspiring high school students to apply to UNM for undergraduate studies.
