Summer 2024 Schedule

The following is the schedule for the Summer 2024 ROSE Program, which will run from Monday, June 10 through Friday, July 12, 2024.

Sun. June 9 – Residence Hall check-in, 1:00–3:00 PM; come to Hokona Hall Parking Lot D on Campus Dr.

Mon. June 10 – Welcome, introductions, program kickoff, and Safety Training I; Physics and Interdisciplinary Science Building (PAÍS), 2120 and 1010, 8:00 AM–1:30 PM.  Includes light breakfast and lunch; wear comfortable shoes for walking.

              1:30-3:00 PM -- LoboCards, keys, and campus tour

              3:00-4:00 PM -- meet with PI mentor; lab orientation.

              Welcome reception, 4:00-6:00 PM, Draft & Table at the UNM SUB

Thurs. June 13 – Safety training II (time and location TBA)

Weekly Activities for Scholars and PIs:

Coffee@Chemistry – Tuesdays 10-11 AM, Clark Hall 105 and outdoor patio (coffee+donuts)

Group lunch – Fridays 11:30 AM–12:45 PM, locations TBA

Panel and group discussions; lab tours– Fridays 1:00 PM–3:00 PM

     June 14 – UNM panel discussion, Clark Hall 201

     June 21 – Molecular visualization with Chimera led by Prof. Yi He, Clark Hall 201

     June 28 – Lab tours; meet at Clark Hall 105

Fri. July 12 – Farewell lunch for Scholars and PIs, 11:30–1:00 PM; research poster session, 1:00–3:00 PM; convocation and presentations with ROSE co-directors and distinguished guests, 3:00 PM, Science and Math Learning Center atrium, UNM.
